Pink Pleated Skirt

img_8164

I have really been enjoying wearing winter skirts during these colder days. My last post was a pleated skirt as well. Check it out here! In this OOTD, I am wearing a bold pink color which is typically seen in spring and summer. But the heavier material and contrasting it with a dark color makes it perfect for the winter season. I paired my skirt with a crop turtle neck shirt that hits exactly at the hips, accessorized with gold jewelry, and threw on my favorite Chelsea boots!

Baby Blues For Bow Ties

IMG_1992Hello my loves! Can you tell the river is dyed green in the picture above?! Dying the river green during St. Patty’s weekend is a tradition in Chicago, and I was so excited to watch it happen this year. Although I wasn’t wearing green, I wanted to share an outfit I love that I wore during St. Patty’s weekend. I’m loving this over-sized coat from Nastygal! It has a silhouette of a coat but comes in a thick knit like a cardigan. It has been perfect as Chicago temperatures are slowly warming up. I paired it up with my perfect white blouse and added a cute bow neck tie for a feminine touch. I pulled the outfit together by wearing leather over-the-knee boots that I recently purchased from Free People. I love how they are laced to the top! I felt a little guilty purchasing these towards the end of winter but they are extremely well rated and the top comment was the longevity of the boot. I guess I’ll have them waiting around for next year’s winter! 😉

What did you wear during St. Patty’s weekend?

Long Maxi Cardigans

DSC_0261

I have officially found my favorite trend for the fall! If you haven’t seen them yet, get ready. They are coming. There are so many different ways that you can sport the long maxi cardigan. In this post I styled it as a true cardigan layering it over a tee and some boyfriend jeans. Opting out for a casual look? Pair this easy, effortless look with some comfy flats! I wore my Birkenstocks with this outfit earlier in the day when I was running errands around the city. I then switched to some heels later in the evening for  a dressier look for dinner. Stay tuned for more looks on how I style my long maxi cardigans!
